Congratulations! We're excited that you are exploring your homebirth option. EVa Homebirth, formerly Williamsburg Homebirth, have changed our name to better reflect our service area. We have two offices for the convenience of the families that we serve. One is located in charming Colonial Williamsburg and the other is conveniently located in Greenbrier/Chesapeake. We have served many families ranging from Richmond to Virginia Beach, including Williamsburg, Newport News, Gloucester, West Point, Suffolk, Norfolk, Windsor, Hampton, Portsmouth, and many towns in between.
Our practice offers complete and affordable care throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. We offer waterbirth for no additional fee and VBAC/HBAC clients are welcome. We have convenient daytime and evening hours, as well as weekend appointments so you can save your leave time from work for when it really matters - after baby arrives!
Your care will be personalized to you. Over the course of your pregnancy we'll get to learn more about each other and build the level of trust and friendship necessary for a peaceful birth.
Every study that has compared midwives and obstetricians has found better outcomes for midwives for same-risk patients. In some studies, midwives actually served higher risk populations than the physicians and still obtained lower mortalities and morbidities. The superiority and safety of midwifery for most women no longer needs to be proven. It has been well established.
